Top Ten Tuesday – September 4, 2012: Top Ten Books On Your Fall TBR List

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish!

This Week’s Topic is: Top Ten Books On Your Fall TBR List

Well, considering I didn’t so well on this topic for the summer list (5/10), I’ll try to put books up that I know I’m going to be reading this fall! And note: I consider anything after September as fall.
So I’m also going to keep this short and sweet. I don’t need to go into full descriptions!

1. Crewel by Jennifer Albin – I’ve had my eye on this one for a WHILE and I got to borrow it (thanks, Alyssa!!!!) so I can finally just revel in this book.

2. Hourglass by Myra McIntyre – Had it forever but since it’s an ebook, let’s face it… Just haven’t gotten to it.

3. The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness – Library read #1. Shout out to Maggie @ Gone Pecan – I pushed it up on my TBR list because of your recommendations!

4. False Memory by Dan Krokos – Now signed, purchased for Anderson’s Bookshop event

5. Defiance by CJ Redwine – Wild Worlds read #1. Just purchased

6. Skylark by Meagan Spooner – Worlds read #2. Just purchased

7. The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna – Wild Worlds read #3. Just purchased

8. Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard – Won from giveaway, looking forward to receiving it

9. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake – Maybe a good read for Halloween?

10. Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood – Yep… Another library read! I have quite a few of them now…….

I’m going to do Anna Dressed in Blood for Halloween, too, I think, as I really really want to read it and haven’t gotten a chance yet. Maybe we can keep each other on track!

Awesome! I am excited for Crewel, looking forward to your review. I am going to get to Anna Dressed in Blood soon and need to nab The Knife of Never Letting Go because I hear that trilogy is amazing! 🙂 Great list, they will make for some awesome reviews. 🙂

I am excited to read Defiance, too. I tried reading Anna Dressed in Blood, and could just not get into it. I really wanted to like it. I love the cove, and I am a sucker for ghost stories.

Hourglass is good. I liked it anyway.

    Great list!

I really enjoyed Born Wicked. The main character can be a bit unlikeable (she complains a lot), but she changes and gets stronger if you keep reading!

Haha, I feel the same way about ebooks. But I just finished Hourglass and enjoyed it. Hope you like it! Great list. 🙂

Great list. I’m intrigued by False Memory and I want to read Defiance. I saw it in my local book shop but bought Melissa Marr’s Carnival of Souls instead.

For Halloween I avoid the creepy and watch chick flicks. Practical Magic/teen witch marathon here I come! But Anna dressed in blood does sound appropriate!

Born Wicked too! I really enjoyed that one!

Crewel is one that I’m also eager to read! I managed to get my hands on a copy (it was a HUGE surprise when I found it in the mailbox.. I think I squealed and embarrassed myself just a little).

I haven’t heard of many of the others on your list but I checked them out and they sound great… I think I’ll have to add a few of them to my to-read list! Memes are bad for the weight of my to-read list… 😛

Yes, Anna dressed in Blood is a perfect Halloween choice! I’ve heard good things about False Memory & am looking forward to hearing what you think of it. I hope to also sneak in Defiance and The Lost Girl this fall. Fantastic list!

I’ve got the e-books of the Chaos Walking Trilogy if you ever want to borrow them! They’re bad “oh, I’m kind of bored at work” books because they suck you in and refuse to let you go! But still you can borrow them if you’d like! 🙂 Okay.. just checked… can’t share them with you. Darn Amazon! But the thought was there!!! Hourglass is pretty awesome too and is worth reading just so you can read Timepiece which features a MAJOR hottypants.

Haha that’s okay! I know my library has all of them so I can stalk the library later 🙂
I can’t wait to read Hourglass! I’m just so bad with ebooks. At least it’s on a list now so hopefully I wont’ forget about it!

Great selection, there’s a bunch on there that I’ve read and loved, or are hoping to read this Fall myself 🙂 Anna Dressed in Blood is perfect for Halloween, I’m going to end up re-reading it and then going onto the second one around October!

Be prepared to be blown away by The Knife of Never Letting Go and you’re probably going to make an emergency trip to grab the next two books as soon as you finish it!
