TOP TEN TUESDAY
November 18, 2014

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic: Top Ten Sequels I Can’t Wait to Get

I love series. Usually I end up reading book one and then psych myself up for how much I need to read the rest of the series and then I just take forever to continue, but there are a few series that I actually keep up with and HAVE to read the most recent books right away! I’m sure you’ve seen me flailing about all of these recently so let’s just jump right in!

FAIREST (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5) by Marissa Meyer

Glitches (The Lunar Chronicles #0.5) – Marissa Meyer
Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) – Marissa Meyer
The Queen’s Army (Lunar Chronicles #1.5) – Marissa Meyer
Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) – Marissa Meyer
The Little Android (The Lunar Chronicles #2.5) – Marissa Meyer
Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) – Marissa Meyer
Carswell’s Guide to Being Lucky (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5) – Marissa Meyer

Well obviously FAIREST is the first on my list. It’s the closest one that I’m SUPER anticipating to actually being released and OMG MORE LUNAR CHRONICLES. I am too exicteddddd.

WINTER (The Lunar Chronicles #4) by Marissa Meyer

Glitches (The Lunar Chronicles #0.5) – Marissa Meyer
Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) – Marissa Meyer
The Queen’s Army (Lunar Chronicles #1.5) – Marissa Meyer
Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) – Marissa Meyer
The Little Android (The Lunar Chronicles #2.5) – Marissa Meyer
Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) – Marissa Meyer
Carswell’s Guide to Being Lucky (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5) – Marissa Meyer

It’s a bit longer of a wait for WINTER but at least I have FAIREST to hold me over! I also am a little afraid for this series to end…? EEEEEEEP. But omg WINTER. I just can’t wait for more Marissa Meyer. I adore her writing and what she’s done with this series is just amazing.

UNTITLED (Throne of Glass #4) by Sarah J. Maas

The Assassin’s Blade (Throne of Glass # 0.1 – 0.5) – Sarah J. Maas
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass #1) – Sarah J. Maas
Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2) – Sarah J. Maas
Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3) – Sarah J. Maas

I binge-read the first three books (plus novellas) in Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series so the wait for book #4 will be LONG to say the least. I fell in love with the series the more I read and HEIR OF FIRE totally blew. me. away. I can’t wait to see how much more this series grows!

UNTITLED (Raven Cycle #4) by Maggie Stiefvater

The Raven Boys (Raven Cycle #1) – Maggie Stiefvater
The Dream Thieves (Raven Cycle #2)  – Maggie Stiefvater
Blue Lily, Lily Blue (Raven Cycle #3) – Maggie Stiefvater

BLUE LILY, LILY BLUE KILLED ME. I NEED BOOK FOUR. I NEED BOOK FOURRRRR. *breaks from all the feels*

THE THORN OF EMBERLAIN (Gentleman Bastard #4) by Scott Lynch

The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard #1) – Scott Lynch
Red Seas Under Red Skies (Gentleman Bastard #2) – Scott Lynch

Okay, so I haven’t read book three yet. SHHHHH. But honestly it’s partially because I can’t start it and finish it without book four in sight. So far we’re guessing THE THORN OF EMBERLAIN is coming out in 2015 but WHEN? I need to space things out haha.

SHADOWS OF SELF (Mistborn #5) – Brandon Sanderson

Mistborn: The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) – Brandon Sanderson

We’re no strangers to how much I fell in love with the Mistborn series… so having just finished THE ALLOY OF LAW (review to come!), now I just need MORE. MORE MORE MORE PLEASE. I know there are other Sanderson books out there (many more, which I will read to hold me over) but I just feel so many things building up in AoL that I cannot wait to see what happens next!

THE WINNER’S CRIME (The Winner’s Curse #2) by Marie Rutkoski

The Winner’s Curse (The Winner’s Curse #1) – Marie Rutkoski

I’m actually reading this one RIGHT NOW. I’ve been told the wait for book three will kill me after I finish book two but… I must start it anyway! (Actually I’ve already started. Page 80-something!) Oh well. Just expect book three on my next list like this!

Okay, that actually wasn’t even ten! But I stuck with books that haven’t been released yet because if I included ALL the series that I want to keep reading, well… we’d be here all day! I’ve started quite a few that I just need to finish so this is my list for now! 🙂

I am so curious about how I will feel about Queen Levana after reading Fairest! It’s coming up so, so soon and I absolutely cannot wait to read it. And I also just can’t wait to read Winter. We should reread all of the books! (Ooh, potential read-a-thon?)

Plus, you know that I am DYING for Throne of Glass #4. I needed that one like yesterday already, mostly because more Celaena is always a good thing. And the Raven Cycle #4 is another one I’m anticipating knocking me out with feels!

Also, The Winner’s Crime is fantastic. Totally punched me in the feels AND made me fall in love with the series enough to now be dying of anticipation for book 3.

BAHHHH. So excited for book four of Throne of Glass. I’m not going to lie, I had NO idea that was a “thing” until I read it on a bunch of Top Ten blogs today. So excited!

Oh my gosh! Your post mentions a Mistborn #5!! Which means that there has to be a Mistborn #4 too!! I had no idea there were more books in that series other than the trilogy. This is a most exciting revelation. MUST READ MORE. (Also, all hail Sarah J. Maas, Marie Rutkoski, and Marissa Meyer. They are all awesome.)

YES! TO ALL OF THESE! I NEED SHADOWS OF SELF AND WINTER IN MY LIFE LIKE YESTERDAY! I’m scared to get caught up on The Raven Cycle books based on everybody’s reactions so far. Christmas break looks like it’s going to involve a lot of feels. I haven’t read The Winner’s Curse yet, but I’ve heard fantastic things about it!

YES TO IT ALL! I included Winter, Throne of Glass 4, and Raven Cycle 4. I still need to finish Alloy of Law and read the Gentleman Bastards series and The Winner’s Curse but it’s in the plan and I’m reading all of it very soon! Great list!
