Book and a Beverage [88] – Andi from Andi’s ABCs

Book and a Beverage

Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!

In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!

Give a big welcome to Andi from Andi’s ABCs!

1 Name & Blog Name: Andi from Andi’s ABCs
Tell us a little about your blog! Before starting Andi’s ABCs I was blogging with a friend at Galleysmith (now closed down). A few people kept telling me to try blogging on my own and when I came up with the title and idea I went with it. My blog is mostly a book blog but on occasion I will blog about the other things I love, accessories and clothes, hence the title ABCs.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) Boston You’re My Home: Love That Dirty Water. It didn’t get any love or acknowledgment but it made me feel better and I was happy to write it after the Boston Marathon bombings and what my city was going through.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Nothing much. Just booked hotel rooms in two cities in Texas for late March and I hope to go to BEA in May. Time will tell. Other than that, life is pretty status quo.

book

brit3Whatcha reading? Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) A gifted ARC from another blogger.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? I have been a HUGE Lauren Oliver fan since I read Delirum. When I finally got to meet her last year she was talking about Vanishing Girls and I knew I needed to read it as soon as possible.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? It is a standalone which is rare these days in the book world. If it goes the way I think it will, it is a book EVERYONE needs to read.

beverage brit4Whatcha drinking? Tazo Zen Green Tea. On Saturdays and Sundays I like to enjoy a cup of it in the morning while reading my book. And I always drink it out of my Tutu Mug and call it my Tutu Tea Time. I mean how can you not feel fancy, even in PJs, when drinking out of a mug with a tutu on it.
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? I usually don’t drink anything but water or tea when reading. But most of the time I’m not drinking anything. I read a lot on my commute to and from work.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Well it used to be Tab. Yes, the 1980s soda Tab. But I gave soda up years ago. And I am a beer drinker so that could easily be the answer. But I think I need to go with what I have every morning. Iced Tea. Probably one of my all time favorite drinks.

bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (DUH), A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? Blogging moment? When I was asked to moderate the Sarah J. Maas/A.C. Gaughen signing in my area. Reading moment? When I saw my name in the acknowledgment’s for Miranda Kenneally’s Breathe, Annie, Breathe. Meant a lot to me.
Anything else you’d like to share? Just had my 2 year blog anniversary and that was amazing to me. I just want to thank all of the bloggers, readers, authors and publicists for an amazing 2 years. Can’t wait for more. Thanks for having me Brittany!

Thanks, Andi! Pshh, if you did not have Anna as one of your favorite books, I would know something was seriously wrong 😉 I still need to read Twenty Boy Summer!
YES, moderating was totally a dream come true for me too. Absolutely amazing!

That mug is so adorable! And Tutu Tea Time sounds like amazing! And how is Vanishing Girls? I read my first Lauren Oliver book last year, Rooms, and loved it. Lauren’s writing is so beautiful and I loved how intricate the plot development was. I’m really excited to read more of her work and this one in particular sounds really good. I’m really excited to check it out!
