Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!

In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!

Let’s all say hello to DeAnna from Mommy’s Reading Break!

Deanna

TheBlog

Name & Blog Name: DeAnna at Mommy’s Reading Break
Tell us a little about your blog! I started Mommy’s Reading Break in November 2012, mostly because I wanted to participate in Top Ten Tuesday. lol But as I’ve gone on, I’ve realized how much I like writing reviews and interacting with other readers. I tend to read and review mostly YA books, since that’s my current genre of choice, but as I read different things, I’ll be adding reviews of those as well.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) Hmm, I haven’t done any discussion posts or anything, but I think my favorite review was the one I wrote for The Other Fish in the Sea by Jenn Cooksey
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I don’t currently have anything planned, but I am seriously considering a giveaway soon. I’ll keep you posted.

TheBook

Whatcha reading? Pivot Point by Kasie West
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) I borrowed it from the library.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? It’s a book that I’ve been really excited to read for a while now, and I was really excited to get it from the library. It’s going to be my next non-review read.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? I haven’t actually started it yet, but I’m really excited about it.

Whatcha drinking? Snapple Peach Iced Tea
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? I don’t really have a favorite reading beverage. I’ll drink whatever I happen to have. Though I love the idea of sitting in a coffee shop with a cappuccino and a book.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Hmm, since the weather is getting warmer, I’m going to have to go with a margarita. They just scream summer to me.

Bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Ooh, this is a hard one, since I have read so many great books. Leaving out the older ones that most people have already read (Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games), I think I’d have to go with Divergent by Veronica Roth, Soul Screamers by Rachel Vincent and the Grab Your Pole series by Jenn Cooksey. I really have several, so I just tried to stick with different genres.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? I think my proudest moment as a blogger was when I got approved for my first request on Netgalley. It was Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead (which I still haven’t read).
Anything else you’d like to share? I have a giveaway going on for my 6-month blogoversary!

Thanks to DeAnna for the awesome interview and for sharing her answers & photo with us! You can find out more about DeAnna at her blog, Mommy’s Reading Break, on TwitterGoodreads, and Facebook.
