Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!
In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!
Let’s all say hello to Ellie from Book Revels!
Name & Blog Name: Hi everyone! My name is Ellie and my blog is called Book Revels.
Tell us a little about your blog! Book Revels is a YA book review blog. I also write random posts about basically anything on my mind related to books or pop culture.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) I had a lot of fun writing about love triangles that do and don’t work. I also really like my Shadow and Bone playlist.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I’m working on a recommendation/guide type post for fantasy. I LOVE fantasy books and want to spread the love! Hopefully I’ll get that posted soon. I’m considering make a book recommendation feature, but I’m not sure how I want to do it yet!
Whatcha reading? I’m reading Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard.
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) I bought it.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? I decided to make a TBR jar because I own a bunch of books I haven’t read yet and I’ve been having a hard time choosing what to read next. Wanderlove was my first pick from the jar!
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? I decided to buy this book because the main character sounds so different from me! I’ve never just dropped everything and gone on a trip across the globe. Plus, I love books that feature travel and I’ve never read one about Central America.
Whatcha drinking? I’m drinking a superfood smoothie from Odwalla. It looks weird because it’s a dark green, but it tastes so yummy!
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? It would be boring to say water, right? I mostly drink water, but I do like iced coffee and beer.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Hands down, the butterbeer from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I still dream about drinking it.
What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Oh man, there are way too many. My top recommendation is always any book by Diana Wynne Jones. She’s my favorite author of all time. I recommend The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen a lot because I’m a huge Dessen fan and that one is my favorite (I have a tattoo from the book). Another of my favorite books is I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. And of course, always Harry Potter.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? My proudest blogging moment was actually starting my blog. I had been talking about it for ages, but I kept putting off actually sitting down and writing a review. It was so exciting for me to write that first post and finally join the blogging community I had been following for so long!
Anything else you’d like to share? Nope! Thank you so much for having me, Brittany! 🙂
Thanks, Ellie! So jealous about the butterbeer! I can’t wait to try it sometime.

The idea of a TBR jar is AWESOME! Butterbeer is also amazing. I had to have the frozen butterbeer since I can’t have carbonation, but it was still incredibly tasty. Great B&AB!
Butterbeer!? Ugh, I want to visit The Wizarding World of HP so badly. Sounds like such an awesome place to be! Great getting to know you, Ellie! I’m definitely checking out your blog later. : )
Thanks for commenting, Jessie!! I know, I’m so jealous of HP World! I cannot WAIT to go and try butterbeer too 😀
