Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!
In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!
Give a big welcome to Cass from Books With Cass!
Name & Blog Name: Cassie @ Books With Cass!
Tell us a little about your blog! I review adult and YA and I also like to mix it up a bit by including some cooking features, and some technology posts!
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) Oh goodness! I really loved doing my spin on Love is A Mix Tape. I put it in quotes graphics to show some of the amazingness of that novel! Also I really loved writing my recent Thursday Thought about How Important Setting Is!
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I DO. My birthday is in February, and to say the least, IGNITE ME comes out two days earlier.. so I may or MAY NOT be having a Shatter Me Series style Birthday this year 😉
Whatcha reading? Longbourn by Jo Baker
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) I bought it just this week, totally used my 30% off on Amazon!
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? WELL, I just finished Pride & Prejudice [yes, for the first time, I’m late to the party!] and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. And THIS book is kinda a take on that!
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? So far I’m enjoying it, but I AM early on! It told from the servants of the Bennet family, so definitely interesting to hear that side of the story.
Whatcha drinking? Caramel Vanilla Crème Coffee 😉
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? Coffee or Vanilla Tea 🙂
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! AHHHHH. PRESSSUUUUREEE. OK. Iced Vanilla Chai from a local brunch place in my town. If any of you are ever in NJ, tell me. YOU MUST GO.
What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Nowhere But Home by Liza Palmer, Anything Katie McGarry, and it WILL BE What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick [guys, SO GOOD] and also, cuz I’m sneaky….. THE GRISHA TRILOGY.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? Probably one was getting my first publisher email asking ME to review something. I was like, WHAT?? LITTLE OL’ ME? But the other was getting asked to host the #beachparty for Leila Howland last summer!
Anything else you’d like to share? YES, I think everyone and their mother should go read a book out of their realm this holiday season. THAT is my holiday wish for everyone! AND ALSO, a huge thank you to Brittany for hosting me this week!
Thanks, Cass! And thank you for being patient with me for not being able to get this up last week when I was sick!
Mmmmm, caramel vanilla crème coffee sounds delightful! I still have to read Pride & Prejudice as well so I’m glad to hear you liked it! I should definitely branch out and read more classics!
I hope you enjoyed getting to know Cass! You can find out more about Cass at her blog, Books With Cass, on Twitter, Tumblr, Goodreads, and Instagram!

Cassie is one of my favorite people in the book blogging community! She’s one of the sweetest, most fun people to talk to — and I’m STILL waiting on the day I finally get to meet her in person. It would be AMAZING, that’s for sure!
I read P&P ages ago. I am thinking of reading all of the Austen books in 2014. Oh, maybe I will read Longbourn too. It would be interesting to read P&P from a different perspective. 🙂
I love Cassie’s blog and Cassie of course! She’s awesome! And I will definitely try to read a book out of my comfort zone this holiday season. I have a ton on my Kindle so I’ll have to pick one! 🙂
😀 Love the enthusiasm here! Cass is the best.
No no you’re the best E!!
I like that Christmas wish! Challenge accepted! Also… iced vanilla chai? Oh I am going to NJ just for this! Sounds delish!
Vanilla chai rocks my world!’n come to nj!!’ And yesssss for accepting the challenge!!
Reading something out of my usual genres will definitely be something I’ll be tackling in 2014! And I might have to try that caramel vanilla creme coffee as well! 🙂
