Book and a Beverage [53] – Rebecca from The Library Canary

Book and a Beverage

Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!

In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!

Give a big welcome to Rebecca from The Library Canary!

Name & Blog Name: Rebecca @ The Library Canary
Tell us a little about your blog! My blog is my little space on the internet where I can keep track of all the books I read, discuss books with fellow bookworms, and gush about my favorite book boyfriends. 😉 I post reviews, discussion posts, and whatever other random things I feel like talking about. I started my blog when I was unemployed and rediscovered the magic of the library. I was reading so much and really wanted something else to do with my time and my friend suggested blogging. I never realized what an amazing community there is and I never thought that I would love it so much or stick with it for so long. But over a year now and still loving every second of it!
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) Hmmm this is a tough one! I think it would have to be either my post on YA Characters and Their Disney Princess Counterparts or my Discussion Post entitled “Don’t Judge Me“.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Well I’m starting a new feature that combines my love for book boyfriends, cooking, and fashion. Hopefully the first post in that series will be up sometime next week! .

Whatcha reading? Life by Committee by Corey Ann Haydu
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) I received it from the publisher via Edelweiss..
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? Nope, just because I’m reading it right now.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? I literally just started it so I don’t know much yet, but it sounds like a unique contemporary. I love the idea of the committee giving the main character “assignments” in order to keep her secrets. I can’t wait to find out what kinds of things they make her do and how she will react to them.

Book&Beverage 2Whatcha drinking? Water… I know. Super exciting over here.
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? I’m boring. Water. I have water all the time. I carry my thermos filled with ice cold water everywhere. I seriously have an irrational fear that I will be somewhere and get super thirsty or you know that really awful scratchy feeling in your throat and not have anything to drink. I’m weird, I know. Lol.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Hmmm… I’m going to have to say Starbuck’s Peppermint Mocha. I love them hot in the winter and iced in the summertime. A lot of people think that it’s a seasonal drink, but you can get it all year round!

Book&Beverage 3What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? This questions sucks!!! Only three??? Okay here it goes. If you love fantasy then you must read Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series. Amazing! Historical Fiction lovers: Code Name Verity or A Mad Wicked Folly (sorry I cheated, I couldn’t choose between the two!).  Contemporary Thriller: Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This book blew my freaking mind. Loved it! And I’m cheating some more because I can’t NOT mention this series. Science fiction/fairytale lovers: The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I LOVE this series so much! Okay, I’m going to stop now. Must resist urge to recommend more…
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? I’ve had a lot of proud moments, from my first retweet from a favorite author, to my first ARC, but honestly it’s my one year blogoversary. It just passed back in February and I am so proud of myself for sticking with this and making it my own.
Anything else you’d like to share? I don’t think so! Just thanks for having me, Brittany! These questions were tough, but super fun to answer! Oh and if you’re going to BEA this year, let me know so we can meet up!

Thanks, Rebecca!! Oooh, another big fan of water! Have you read Not A Drop To Drink…? 😉
Sorry my recommendation question is so hard! Everyone cheats anyway haha! 🙂
We MUST meet at BEA!! Can’t wait to see each other in person!

I hope you enjoyed getting to know Rebecca! Connect with her at the links below!
