Book and a Beverage [60] – Charlotte from A Place on the Bookshelf

Book and a Beverage

Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!

In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!

Give a big welcome to Charlotte from A Place on the Bookshelf!

Name & Blog Name: Charlotte Harrison / A Place on the Bookshelf
Tell us a little about your blog! My blog started off about books and my Creative Writing degree but is more of a lifestyle blog now as I cover books, writing, my degree, fashion, beauty, crafts and my love of vintage, so it’s something for everyone really!
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) That’s a difficult question! I can’t pick just one so here’s a few: vintage hair ideas, how important is blog design?, Do writers believe they are in control of their destiny? & a little post about my dog jack!
Got anything special coming up we should know about? IMy one year blog anniversary is 1st July! I’ll be doing a post on what I’ve learnt about blogging in the past year as well as hosting some giveaways around that time, so look out for that!

Whatcha reading? The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) A cute little bookshop in Barmouth, Wales called Castaway! It was just 30p, crazy! Here is a post I did about the bookshop.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? Just because I’m reading it at the moment and it’s been recommended to me so many times! I’m over halfway through and am really enjoying it; it’s a great book.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? I would definitely recommend it, it’s an important book because it’s a love story that’s totally different to anything else you’ll read.

Whatcha drinking? A nice cup of tea!
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? Tea, definitely.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Erm…tea again, I’m afraid!

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? My favourite books are Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and The Help by Kathryn Stockett, amongst loads of others! My favourites change all the time.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment?
Being approached by publishers asking me to review books is nice, but generally it’s just nice being told that someone is enjoying reading my blog!
Anything else you’d like to share?
I love promoting new authors so if you’d like to be interviewed on my blog get in touch: [Email Charlotte here!]

Thanks, Charlotte! A true tea drinker, indeed!
So happy to have you on Book and a Beverage! I still haven’t actually read The Time Traveler’s Wife — just seen the movie. Oops! Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!

I hope you enjoyed getting to know Charlotte! Connect with her at the links below!
