Name & Blog Name: Hi! I’m Alex and my blog is Booksy Daisy Reviews.
Tell us a little about your blog! Booksy Daisy originally started out as a tumblr book blog called Life in the Pages. I wanted a place where I could gush over the books I loved and connect with other enthusiastic readers. Eventually I branched out to Blogger, and earlier this summer did a total overhaul of my blog: changing the design and even the name! I’m still not really sure where exactly the name Booksy Daisy came from–it just popped into my head as I was brainstorming one night. I loved it so much that I had to stick with it! My blog is mainly focused on YA lit but I really love adult contemporary fiction, too!
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) I’ve actually got two favorites and they’re both related to one of my favorite books, Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. The first is my review of DoSaB and the second is my first Bookish Imaginings post, a feature where I create playlists and Pinterest boards to go along with my favorite books.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I’m close to hitting a big milestone on my blog and once I do (probably within the next few weeks) I’m planning on hosting my first giveaway! 😀 I’m also planning on a giant Throne of Glass-themed Bookish Imaginings post once I finish Heir of Fire!

book

Whatcha reading? Conversion by Katherine Howe
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) It was an early birthday present from my dad. 🙂
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? I had seen a lot of buzz online for Conversion but it wasn’t until I started reading it in the bookstore the other night that I decided I really did want to read it. The fact that it’s inspired by true historical and recent events just makes it that more interesting!
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? As of right now, I’m only about five chapters in but the story is really intriguing! I plan on writing a review, so you’ll just have to wait until then to hear what I think.

beverage

Whatcha drinking? Iced tea from McAlister’s Deli.
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? Hot tea or coffee, especially in the fall! I love, love, love chai tea lattes and white chocolate mochas.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Passion fruit tea from the Cheesecake Factory! It’s my goal to track down whatever brand it is they use so that I can always have it on hand.
bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Well, besides the obvious choice of Harry Potter, I’d recommend Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, and Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? Probably posting my first review. I’m typically a very reserved person, so it was both exciting and terrifying to put my thoughts into writing for all the world to see. I was proud of myself for doing it! blogosphere and I think that was my proudest moment.
Anything else you’d like to share? Just want to say thanks to Brittany, whose blog I absolutely love, for having me on Book and a Beverage this week! 🙂 And thank you all for reading!

Thanks, Alex! OMGGGG I am soooo jealous you’re drinking McAlister’s tea!! I used to work at the location that was at my college and I miss it so much!
Also love your recommendations! They’re all pretty fantastic 🙂

I’m going to look up Conversion right now, I love stories inspired by historical events! And yessss chai tea lattes are the absolute best! Have you tried the Tazo chai tea concentrate they sell at Target? It’s the stuff they use at Starbucks and tastes very similar, except there’s no foam bc I don’t have a machine of course 🙂 Haha. Loved Fangirl and Cruel Beauty, those are great recs. Harry Potter is a given like you said! I’ll be sure to check out your blog, really enjoyed your post.
