Book and a Beverage

Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!

In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!

Name & Blog Name: Danielle @ Love at First Page
Tell us a little about your blog! I started blogging late 2013. I was active on Goodreads for a while and became friends with a few cool bloggers, and the rest is history! I’m first and foremost a romantic (hence, the blog name), so the books I read and review all feature love stories. Young Adult, New Adult, Adult… I read it all! I love to post Top Ten Tuesdays and weekly book hauls as well.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) I’ve enjoyed creating polls for my blog. There’s one about how you treat spoilers, and the other asking you to do the impossible by choosing your favorite book boys.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Not specifically for my blog, but I’m going to BEA this May and I’ll definitely be sharing an awesome recap post. It’s my goal to take a lot more pictures this year!

book

Whatcha reading? Haze by Paula Weston. It’s the second book in The Rephaim series.
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) I purchased it from The Book Depository. It’s the UK edition.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? I’m going strong in my A Series A Month challenge, and for April I chose to read The Rephaim. It’s been recommended to me quite a few times. There are three books so far in the series, and the fourth (and final) comes out in June.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? I have three words: holy sexual tension! Yes, I recommend it! There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the story, since Gaby (the MC) has lost her memories. She’s struggling between different versions of herself — the teenage girl who lost her brother, and the century-old warrior angel she has no recollection of being. Australian writers have a nearly spotless track record with me, and Paula Weston continues that streak. And, wow, Rafa is a great love interest!

beverageWhatcha drinking? Pepsi, my one unhealthy addiction
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? See above. I drink probably two cans a day. (*hides*)
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! I really do love Pepsi…

bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta, Night by Elie Wiesel, and I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? That’s a tough one to answer. As far as proudest, there’s the day I started blogging, the day I got my first ARC (Rebel by Amy Tintera), and the day I reached 1,500 followers on Twitter… But really, my favorite thing has been making new friends in this community. I hope to meet many, many more at book events in the years to come.
Anything else you’d like to share? Thank you, Brittany, for having me! And thank you, dear reader, for getting to know me a little bit better. 🙂

Thanks, Danielle!!! Excited to see you again at BEA! Gosh, I really need to be better about taking pictures too. How do I always forget to do that?
Mmmm Pepsi. Two cans a day isn’t too bad 😀 And thanks for sharing your book & beverage with us! I don’t know anything about this series yet!

OH HELLO DANIELLE! 😀 I also enjoy your polls and really hope you continue doing them! They’re fun and creative. And yess, Pepsi is so good! (but diet is disgusting). I’m glad you’re loving The Rephaim series. I really want to read this one! And my favorite thing about blogging so far has definitely been the friendships I’ve formed too. I hope we get to meet at BEA!! 🙂
