Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!
In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!
Give a big welcome to Holly from Nut Free Nerd!
Name & Blog Name: Holly @ Nut Free Nerd
Tell us a little about your blog! I started book blogging a few years ago as a way to keep a record of my thoughts on the books I read. Little did I know that I would be entering the wonderful world of the book blogging community! Since then I have broadened my blogging horizons to include posts about school, music, movies, and life in general. But don’t fret – it’s still primarily bookish!
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) Oh, what a difficult question! Probably the one I wrote right after I spent my first night at Wheaton College in Norton, MA, months before I even decided to officially attend that school. The post is called I Spent a Night at College for the First Time… and Survived!! and I received such an overwhelmingly positive response from fellow bloggers and Wheaton alumni alike. And now I’m actually attending Wheaton College!!
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Many more book reviews, discussion posts, and chats about college life as a bookish freshman. The fun goes on!
Whatcha reading? Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc): Purchased
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? I absolutely LOVE this book. I read it at the beginning of the summer and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. Jane is such a fabulous heroine, and the story itself is just so beautifully crafted.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? This book is AMAZING. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!!
Whatcha drinking? Tea, as always!
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? I usually just drink water when I’m reading because that’s what I drink all day long. But if I’m in the mood to really relax and get cozy, then I’ll heat myself up a nice mug o’ tea!
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Have you guessed it yet? TEA!! I adore tea and everything about it. In a perfect world, I would drink tea all the time- but I might have to thrown in some iced to every once in a while to mix things up.
What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta, and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? When people comment on my blog saying how much they liked a post, can connect with my experiences, or appreciate my writing. It never fails to make me smile and brighten my day!
Thanks, Holly! So happy to have you on the blog today! It was so great to learn a little bit more about you through Book and a Beverage!!
