Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!
In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!
Give a big welcome to Abi from Rambling Writer!
Name & Blog Name: Abi Pearson – Rambling Writer
Tell us a little about your blog! My blog is a little bit of everything. Like the name says, it’s sometimes a bunch of ramblings about my life. I often do book reviews for NetGalley, I talk about my writing, sometimes host giveaways and I also promote fellow creators and writers.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) I’m really happy with my first blog series, it’s called Promoting Creativity. Once a month I interview a writer or an artist on my blog, I link their blogs and whatever else I can put a link to and ask people to help support them.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I’ve got quite a few things planned for this next month. From weekly posts about NaNoWriMo, to a giveaway and I’m even going to be starting a book read along!
Whatcha reading? Blue Bloods
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc): I bought it from Goodwill a couple weeks ago.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? It’s been on my TBR for years now and I was finally able to get my hands on it!
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? This book is about vampires, so if you like them you should definitely pick up this book.
Whatcha drinking? Chai Tea
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? Tea mostly, though Orange Juice is a close second.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Chai tea. I seep it for 2 minutes, add a spoonful of honey and just a couple drops of milk. I have so many good memories with this drink.
What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? The Living Reed by Pearl S. Buck, Frankenstein by Mary Shelly and Persuasion by Jane Austen.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? This year in May I was able to self-publish a short collection of poetry that I’m super proud of!
Anything else you’d like to share? Thank you so much for having me! 🙂
Thanks, Abi! I haven’t read Blue Bloods! I love that you got it from Goodwill. I do a fair amount of book thrifting too!
