Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!
In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!
Give a big welcome to Rachel from Go Read A Book!
Name & Blog Name: Rachel from Go Read A Book
Tell us a little about your blog! I already had a general blog for about a year, but I wanted one specifically dedicated to books once I realized that it was such a popular community to be a part of. So I started sharing my love for mostly YA contemporary, romance, and some fantasy books through reviews and lists.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) One recently that I enjoyed doing was an interview with myself. It was for the Get Up Offa That Slump challenge and I just thought it was a great way for people to get the chance to know more about you.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I’m thinking about starting a newsletter that would notify people about all the latest book sales and also that would notify you of giveaways that bloggers in the community are currently hosting.
Whatcha reading? Right of First Refusal by Dahlia Adler
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) Purchase! The ebook is only $3.99 so it’s super affordable considering that it just came out this week.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? Dahlia Adler is an incredible author, whether it’s a YA or NA book, it’s pretty much guaranteed that it will be a book filled with friendship, diversity, and an awesome romance.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? It’s the second book in her companion NA series, Radleigh University. You technically don’t have to read the first book in order to pick this one up, but I recommend that you do since the same characters appear. I’m over halfway through now and I definitely think you should read this one as well!
Whatcha drinking? Snapple Peach Tea. It’s one of my favorite drinks, especially when it’s warm outside!
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? If it’s cold outside, I’ll definitely drink some hot chocolate. Most of the time though, it’s just water or pop if I drink anything at all.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Dr. Pepper, for sure!
What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, Jellicoe Road, and I’ll Meet You There.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? This might sound lame, but probably the first few times people actually commented on my posts. It made me so excited to know that people were actually reading my posts and getting to interact with them was such a rewarding thing!
Anything else you’d like to share? Thanks so much for featuring me! I’m such a huge fan of this feature and Brittany’s blog as a whole.
Thanks, Rachel! Heck YES for the Radleigh University books! I’m so excited to read Right of First Refusal and Dahlia Adler is such a wonderful person to interact with. Thanks so much for being on Book and a Beverage today!!
