Name & Blog Name:  Samantha – Spines & Covers
Tell us a little about your blog! My blog has always been pretty heavy on YA but we’ve been talking a lot more about adult fiction here lately. As I have grown as a reader, so has my blog. It has been exciting branching out from just strictly reading YA. I also have two co-bloggers, Jessie and Ashley, who are just fantastic. We try doing a mixture of things besides just reviews such as tags and discussions.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) I think my favorite posts I’ve written are when I participated in Blogmas last December. It was hard writing a post everyday but it was so fun and challenging! It was fun writing posts that didn’t just involve books too. I had posts ranging from my Christmas Tree to talking about my dog.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I am planning on trying to do a traveling book project this summer if I can get enough people together! I think it will be fun passing around a book that everyone reads and marks in. It reminds me of The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants.

book

Whatcha reading? I am currently reading Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. I am so happy to finally get to it because I have heard so many awesome things about the series especially the magic system.
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) I borrowed it from my library through Overdrive. Overdrive is the best thing ever! Now that I know I will like the series I’ll have to buy my own physical copy!
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? Because so many people absolutely love the series. I think it would be a great book to read to get started with adult fantasy.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? Even though it is an epic fantasy, it isn’t too complex to understand. Sometimes with fantasy it is hard to keep up with everything including all the characters. But I think Mistborn is a good book/series to start with when trying out the genre.

beverage

Whatcha drinking? Coffee with milk. Probably with more milk than coffee. 😉
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? Either tea, hot chocolate, or coffee.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Vanilla latte from Starbucks, yum!

bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? The Night Huntress Series, The Blood of Eden trilogy, and 172 Hours on the Moon.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? I think actually starting my blog! I watched Booktube for a year or two before I actually discovered book blogging was a thing. Once I learned about book blogging, I wanted to start my own blog right away. I jumped in without knowing anything at all about blogging. I have learned so much over these last few years and it has been an all around awesome experience! So I think my proudest moment is just jumping in and getting started to begin with!

Thanks, Samantha! I LOVE the Mistborn books. Brandon Sanderson became one of my favorite authors when I first read that series.

I have heard great things about Mistborn. I will have to see if my library has it. I love the idea of a traveling book. It could be such a fun experience to see how everyone feels about it. 🙂

I just read a smashing review of Mistborn. I’m going to have to try it sometime soon! And count me in for a traveling book! I did something like it once and totally loved it
