Book and a Beverage [163] – Tia from Read It Write Now

Book and a Beverage

Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!

In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!

Give a big welcome to Tia from Read It Write Now!

Name & Blog Name:  Tia at Read It Write Now
Tell us a little about your blog! I started my blog a little over two years ago and I mostly blog about YA! It started off as an experiment to see if I could run a blog on my own and it just sort of went from there (though it hasn’t been as successful as I was hoping haha)
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) I think my favorite post that I’ve written is my Parable of the Sower review. I feel as though I’ve gotten better at writing reviews and this is the first post I’ve made recently that I’m very proud of!
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Well I just started a new discussion feature on my blog that I’m really excited about because I was always a little nervous doing discussion posts since anything I would talk about would probably already have been discussed by so many people.

book

Whatcha reading? Empire of Storms [by Sarah J. Maas]
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc): Purchased
Any special reason you chose to feature this book?  Sarah J. Maas is one of my favorite authors and the 5th book, Empire of Storms, just released this month! I am also going to be meeting her in October so I thought that this would be the perfect book to showcase on this post.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? This book is the 5th installment of the Throne of Glass series. It is about a kickass assassin who is also not who we think she is. This book will highlight her return to her homeland and I am so excited to know what happens. I would highly recommend this entire series!

beverage

Whatcha drinking? Leinenkugel’s Harvest Patch Shady…Such an amazing fall lager!
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? I don’t really have a favorite drink to have while reading…I mostly just drink water 🙂
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Since it is fall now and pumpkin spice everything is finally back, I have to say Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Lattes even though I have been trying not to drink very much coffee lately

bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people?  A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas(if you haven’t read the first one you NEED to so you can read this beauty), Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini, and White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? Before I started blogging and even before I was on Goodreads, I used to read a lot more because I had more time. My proudest reading moment would probably be the time I read 3 books in one day. I have never been able to do it again, but I would like to.
Anything else you’d like to share? I’d just like to say thank you for hosting me! I have never posted on someone else’s blog before and this is really awesome! I had a lot of fun answering these questions.

Thanks, Tia!! YAY all the pumpkin drinks! I of course love PSLs but I love a good pumpkin beer too. YUM! I’m in the middle of Empire of Storms right now too and I’m SO excited!

I hope you enjoyed getting to know Tia! Connect with her at the links below!
