So I think I’m going to start doing a monthly recap of my blog… I just read Jamie’s over at The Perpetual Page Turner and she had such an awesome September that it inspired me to go back through what happened over the last month and revisit some of the more awesome things that I got to share with you guys!
Fun Facts:
- Each month has grown as far as number of views goes! Practically exponentially, so thanks to you guys for keeping my blog alive and thriving!
- I just reached over 10,000 views on my blog the other day. I don’t know how “good” that is in terms of stats, but I’ve been blogging almost 6 months now so… if you know, let me know!
New Additions:
- Casting Call: If you haven’t seen it, Casting Call is a new Friday feature hosted by Tee @ YA Crush, Sandie @ Teen Lit Rocks, Candice @ The Grown-Up YA, Dixie & Maggie @ Gone Pecan, and of course, me too. So far, we’ve created dream casts of Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars, and The Sky is Everywhere. It’s been a ton of fun and we’ve got a lot more dream casts to come!
- New layout: Photoshop + blog = lots of new stuff and lots of me wasting time. But it’s been so much fun!
The Book Addict’s Guide at a glance:
- Most visited post and most comments: Sweet Evil Blog tour, interview, and giveaway 9/1/12
- Interesting search terms: “How to seduce women” (what did this lead you to????), “is j.k. rowling an addict”, “why is divergent addicting”
- Top clicked link: The Grown-Up YA (http://www.thegrownupya.blogspot.com) – Yay, Candice!!!
My favorite reads from September:
- Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead
- Heist Society by Ally Carter
- The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith
- Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Coming up in October:
- Naturally, Charlie blog tour
- Fierce Reads tour coming back to Chicago!!
- Appraising Pages‘ month of Macabre – I’m putting together Pinterest boards of some Halloween costumes based on my favorite literary characters
- Halloween reads: Just checked out a BUNCH from the library, so we’ll get some spooky reads going in October

This is such a great idea! I think I might need to do something like this. 🙂
