Top Ten Tuesday – May 7, 2013: Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light & Fun

TTT

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish!
This week’s topic IS (Survey says!): Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light & Fun

TOP TEN LIGHT & FUN READS

Spring is here and summer is rapidly approaching! This is the perfect topic for the present time! In case you missed it, I had a blast making this graphic as a map/guide to helping you choose your next contemporary read and I have a feeling this week’s TTT will contain a lot of these fun reads!

Oh, you guys. I love being a nerd. I was trying to figure out how to put these into categories and they all kept overlapping so I realized a Venn diagram would be perfect!!

  1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
  2. Also Known As by Robin Benway
  3. Revenge of the Girl With the Great Personality by Elizabeth Eulburg

Great list! I think you know I’ve read a bunch of these. I’ve actually been trying to start The Trouble with Flirting all day today, but I just haven’t had time to sit down and read; going to do that soon…hopefully. And I’ve had Meant to Be for a while now and haven’t read it, but after seeing it on so many lists today I think I need to pick it up ASAP.

I just love your infographics/diagrams! I totally agree about Meant to Be – I’m pretty sure I had a smile plastered on my face for that entire read!

I cannot wait to get my hands on The Summer I Became. It looks so cute. I just finished Nantucket Blue a couple of days ago. I like The Revenge of the Girl and Anna is one of my all-time favorites. Great list!

So…I’ve only read Going Vintage and Statistical Probability off of this list. I’m such a failure with “light and fun” books, haha. Going to take notes on this list and work on reading them over the summer.

I love the books on your list that I have read and I can’t wait to read the others! I love that you have a nerdy guy section! Nerdy guys are the best! But I mean I’m a pretty nerdy girl, so maybe that’s why I’m saying that?

Yay for being a nerd and creating a Venn Diagram! So much fun, and so creative! I haven’t read any of these (which might be part of the reason why I had so much trouble with this TTT), but hope to read some soon. Especially Anna and the French Kiss. I have heard so many things about it but am constantly put off by the cover. I really need to just get over it though to see what everyone is talking about! Great TTT!

I LOVE THAT YOU MADE A VENN DIAGRAM. This makes my nerdy little heart so happy!
Also – I have read five out of your ten picks this week. Does that mean I should read the rest of them? I think so!

    2. You’re creativity is AMAZING.
    3. I’m surprised I’ve actually read many of these books! I didn’t like all of them, but still. I’m seeing Robin Benway on a lot of lists. I might have to check one of her books out.
