When Jamie from The Perpetual Page Turner post her A-Z Survey the other week as a sort of “flashback” to when surveys were all the rage! I totally miss doing surveys so of course I had to do the survey too! So a big thanks to Jamie for creating this survey because it was such a blast!
Author you’ve read the most books from:
Janet Evanovich (16)
Best Sequel Ever:
Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer
Currently Reading:
Only a bazillion books…
A Storm of Swords – George R.R. Martin
False Sight – Dan Krokos
Rose Under Fire – Elizabeth Wein
Cress – Marissa Meyer
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Beer. YUM.
E-reader or Physical Book?
Totally a physical book.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
Thank goodness for my Goodreads “All the Swoons” list… Probably Adam from If I Stay/Where She Went or Etienne St Clair (personality-wise, not British & French-wise) from Anna and the French Kiss
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Hidden Gem Book:
Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
Starting my blog, really. That’s how I “discovered” YA and absolutely fell in love. Also made some new best friends (both blogging and IRL) through blogging so that spans throughout my whole life and not just reading life.
Just Finished:
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
Non-fiction, most likely.
Longest Book You’ve Read:
A Clash of Kings – George R.R. Martin (969)
(soon to be trumped by A Storm of Swords)
Major book hangover because of:
The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler
Also. I just finished “The Red Wedding” section in A Clash of Kings………. I knew SOMETHING was coming so I guess not as bad as I was building up in my head but still. WAHHHH.
Number of Bookcases You Own:
Erm. Zero right now 🙁 🙁 I threw my old crappy one out when I moved and we need to build a new one in our new house!
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Harry Potter. Just all of them.
Preferred Place To Read:
Outside!
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
“For the two of us, home isn’t a place. It is a person. And we are finally home.”
― Stephanie Perkins, Anna and the French Kiss
Reading Regret:
Letting school/required reading bring me down and abandoning reading for as long as I did. I missed the opportunity to read SO MANY BOOKS.
Series You Started And Need To Finish (all books are out in series):
Well, I finally finished Vampire Academy so I can’t say that! Hmmmm, I guess Graceling? I started reading Fire but was SO not into it.
Three of Your All-Time Favorite Books:
The Book of Broken Hearts, The Giver, Harry Potter (duh)
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Leigh Bardugo & Marissa Meyer.
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
Just One Year by Gayle Forman
Worst Bookish Habit:
Putting books in my purse. The ones I REALLY need to protect I treat very gingerly (my Siege and Storm ARC did not leave the coffee table and was NOWHERE near food), but some paperbacks (for example…… my GoT paperbacks) get thrown in my purse and taken everywhere with me.
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Well……. my books are all in disarray because I still don’t have bookshelves at the new house so I’ll just count in my “stacks” haha! Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan. Those were all the hardbacks I haven’t read yet! Eek. Lots to read.
Your latest book purchase:
Hmmmm. What did I just buy? I honestly can’t remember. I haven’t bought anything in a while. Maybe Taken by Erin Bowman? That was the last event I went to.
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein. I was actually just up late anyway and I was trying to finish (I still had a LONG ways to go haha) and ended up passing out.

I hear you on the reading regret. Also, NO bookshelves?! How do you manage? I feel like an oddity in the book world for only having one!
Haha it’s not easy! We threw away my old crappy one (it was falling apart) and we’re building customer bookshelves but we haven’t had the time yet! 🙂
I love reading all of these. I’m always so impressed when people can read more than one book at once, I can’t focus on more than one story at once. I totally just throw books in my purse too, but I’m pretty terrible with taking care of things in general!
B, I don’t know if we can be friends anymore if you weren’t into Fire. That’s one of my hands down favorites!
Okay, we can still be friends… haha! I loved this survey oh so much and loved all your answers! Also.. uh… if you want to pass Cress along to someone I wouldn’t object! Of course, I still haven’t given you Reached back, so I might not be the best person to lend a book to. 🙂
Whoa! Blast from the past! I loved Walk Two Moons. I actually think I had to read it for Battle if the Books one year. Also St. Clair (I’m not even going to try to spell his French name) makes me swoon! He never would have looked at me in high school though. I kind of had a thing for a**holey guys even though I was a “good girl.”
CRESS! I’m so jealous of you right now. I wish I had book summoning powers so that I could snatch up my own copy of Cress!
I’ve read a couple of books by Sharon Creech but haven’t heard of Walk Two Moons. If you liked it, I think I definitely have to check it out! 🙂
I know you said that our number 1s were the same, but I still can’t believe it, haha. SO AWESOME. Also, it’s so funny that we were both up late reading Rose, except I was up late reading it because I couldn’t put it down and you were just trying to finish, lol. I love your quote, too. So sweet and perfect. Any Anna love is always going to remind how much I LOVE that book.
I need to check out this “All the Swoons” shelf. That’s a good idea, B. *Ponders making one for herself* Hmmm… 🙂
Love this! I’m so impressed w your ability to answer all of the categories. I think it would take me forever to come up w some responses. Lol. Thanks for sharing! This was fun!
OHMYGOD YOU ARE READING CRESS! Lucky ducky! I will probably stalk you for a review of that. HAHA! I don’t drink beer, but it’s cool that you drink that when you read XD And oh I loved Adam from If I Stay / Where She Went! He was totally swoon worthy. Definitely looking forward to Just One Year as well. Never read Anna and the French Kiss. But I really really want to! 🙁 And I keep DNFing the George R.R. Martin books. After the Red Wedding, his writing just made me nervous D:
Fire is the best one of the Graceling trio! I hope you’ll give it another shot!
