Totally agree with Marissa Meyer! Cinder and Scarlet were pretty great.
NEIL GAIMAN is on your list!!!! He’s one of my very favorites… ever! If you haven’t, you need to read Neverwhere. It’s one of my favorite books on the planet! Okay, I’m done fangirling now… or am I?
Great list. I am planning on reading the Legend series next year!
Great picks! I have a lot of these books on my tbr pile, so hopefully I can get to read the majority of them next year. Lindsey Leavitt is a great author and I cannot wait for The Chapel Wars to release next year, it looks like an awesome book.
Thanks for stopping by my top ten!
Lindsey Leavitt is a great choice, I should have put her on my list. Sean Griswald’s Head is great, I think I liked it more than Going Vintage. Robin Benway is on my list, too and as much as I loved AKA, Audrey, Wait is really, really fantastic and fun.
I have Laini Taylor on my list, too. And I just bought the first 5 books in the SOIF series!
I love your list( of course!) I think we have quite a few of the same authors plus some that didn’t officially make my list. Marissa Meyers, of course. AND now that I own a copy of Legend I can finally join everyone who loves Marie Lu’s books. Claire LaZebnik is great too! I feel like The Trouble with Flirting is so underappreciated, sadly. I enjoyed Epic Fail a lot too(though perhaps not *quite* as much), so I hope you love that one too!
Great list! I have also just recently discovered Laini Taylor. I’ve read the first book in the Smoke and Bone trilogy!
I also discovered Marissa Meyer this year and I just can’t even describe how happy I am. I LOVE the Lunar Chronicles. So excited to be participating in the Lit Lushes Cress ARC tour!!! Yay!!! Thanks so much for donating the book! And I am so happy that you discovered Marie Lu this year. Seriously best dystopian series ever. I am so freaking pumped for her new series next year!!!
Marissa Meyer made my list as well! I’m really anticipating her future books, from The Lunar Chronicles and beyond!
Laini Taylor and George Marin were also a new authors for me this year! Marissa Meyer is also pretty recent.
A couple of new ones for me here in your list! Some I’ll hopefully discover over Christmas like Marie Lu and others will need to wait for 2014! Have to admit I’m not a fan of Neil Gaiman though. Can’t remember which book of his I tried but there was a certain scene where I just thought ‘Eh, what the hell just happened there?!’
Ooh excellent choices! Laini Taylor, Neil G, and George M – are some of my faves too.
