Yay! Great list, B! I love that you are soul sisters with both Anna and Stephanie Plum. That’s perfect. And Hermione, because obviously. These are such great characters B! I love you and them! So you did a good job <3
Better off Friends is next up on my TBR and I AM SO EXCITED OH MY GOSH.
Totally agree with you on Xander & Caymen – one of my favourite contemporary couples by far!
This is a creative way at breaking down characters! Offhand I can’t think of a lot of characters that I have a close personality tie to, although I’m sure if I tried harder I could make a list. I don’t read a lot of contemporary, so maybe it is more difficult for my brain to draw that comparison to characters in fantasy or scifi settings!
What a great topic Brittany! I think relating to characters is the most important thing there is in books. I agree on Cayman and Hermione, as well as Anna, I connected to them so well when I read those books. I sound like such a contemporary chick, but I like a variety of character’s and can relate to most 🙂
I almost chose “Best Personality” and Caymen and Anna would definitely have been on the list. I can’t remember what hobby is in The Book of Broken Hearts? Are you referring to the motorcycle fixing?
Haha yes! My fiancé is really into hot rods and motorcycles and we spend/spent a large amount of time hanging out in the garage. Sometimes I would assist (aka handing him things) and he would tell me what he was doing, other times I would watch, other times, I just read while he worked but I really made a connection with that in the book! 🙂
Fun spin on the X.
I loved Jude from The Book of Broken Hearts!! Sarah Ockler’s characters always make my heart hurt. I also really related to Anna. She could definitely be one of my bffs 🙂
