Morgan Gone With the Words Book and a Beverage

Name & Blog Name: Morgan @ Gone with the Words
Tell us a little about your blog! Well I joined Gone with the Words in September and it’s been an amazing experience! My cobloggers are the best, especially Jess 🙂 She was looking for reviewers and I was looking for a way to get even more involved in the bookish community short of starting my own blog. It’s been fun to be a part of, I love contributing to the reviews and features!
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) I really liked my End of the Year Survey; I read so many great books last year and figured out how to use gifs! Plus it mentions my favorite Top Ten Tuesday post where I paired Halloween movies and books 🙂 I also love the feature Jess started called Bitsy Words, which is basically a mini review with a song/gif/etc. And I adore the song I picked for Every Breath by Ellie Marney 🙂
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Nothing in particular but I’m always looking to contribute more on the blog! I have a few books to read coming up that I’m super excited for so those reviews will hopefully be enticing.

book

Whatcha reading? The Storyspinner by Becky Wallace
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) The library! I requested that they buy it and they did! I feel so powerful….
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? I’m reading a couple books right now but I’m trying to finish this one first because it’s due at the library soon. Plus the cover is fantastic.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? The worldbuilding and story is engaging and very interesting. I like the characters as well but the multiple POVs and very short chapters aren’t my favorite. It’s jarring. I’m getting used to it though and I’m really invested in where the story is going so I’d say I like The Storyspinner overall! I love Johanna especially. I know it’s been a popular book lately and I think fantasy fans in general would really enjoy it.

beverageWhatcha drinking? A large Coke from McDonalds
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading?  Probably Coke or English Breakfast tea!
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Number one answer is Coke. I’m terribly addicted, it’s my one true vice hahah. Regular is my favorite but I also love Vanilla or Cherry. (NO DIET!). For my favorite hot beverage (because I have to cheat on questions like these) I would say chai lattes from Starbucks.

bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Oh gosh. Harry Potter is a no brainer so I’m not even going to count that 😉 A Game of Thrones because as wonderful as the TV show is, the book series is so much richer (and then you could discuss theories with me!!!). Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan because it has everything you could want in a series: diversity, a sassy heroine who I wish was my best friend, insane ships and feeeels, kissing, magic, darkness, mystery, humor, and friendship. And Meant to Be because it’s adorable, it’s snarky, it’s set in London, it makes me smile, and it reminds me of You’ve Got Mail.
But seriously, I could go on forever. if you like book recs PLEASE ASK ME! I love giving book recs!
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? My proudest blogging moment is having my first review up on the blog (All Lined Up!). It was so cool to see it up there and to get feedback from other readers! Proudest reading moment — reading 82 books in 2013. I’ve never read so much in my life!
Anything else you’d like to share? I’m really enjoying being part of #OTSPSecretSister. Besides the obvious joy of giving and receiving, it’s been a fun way to meet and connect with other readers/bloggers 🙂 Plus the bookmark in the picture is one that she made me! I like that it happens to match my cup. Thanks for having me on the blog Brittany!

Gah, I really need to read The Storyspinner, I have heard SO much about it! All good things, basically. And, I’m more of a Pepsi girl myself, but I am addicted to pop. Also, yay so glad that you recommended Meant to Be, Morgan! It’s been sitting on my shelf for awhile now, and clearly I really need to read it. 🙂

YAYY, Morgan! I know her! LOL

I’ve seriously loved having you on the blog, Morgan. You’re an amazing contributor. I love Coke. Like, for realsies. I now only drink it now and then though, but when I do, it’s like angels dancing on my tongue. SO GOOD. I’ve also really enjoyed being a part of OTSPSecretSister so much! Great post!!

Mmmmmm. English Breakfast Tea. I just recently got into drinking tea (I’m a HUGE coffee drinker) but that’s my favorite kind so far! I haven’t heard much about The Storyspinner, but that is great that your library ordered it for you!

I got into tea about 3 years ago and I just love it! I got my husband super into it too! English Breakfast is the best 🙂 I’m not a coffee drinker so it’s usually that or hot chocolate. Yeah my local library is awesome! They have a form online where you can suggest books and so far they’ve gotten most of my suggestions 🙂
