Book and a Beverage [109] – Stephanie from My Bookish Itinerary

Book and a Beverage

Welcome back to BOOK AND A BEVERAGE!

In case you don’t know the deal about Book and a Beverage, it’s a very simple yet fun feature: We read books, we drink beverages, we take pictures of them and then I share your photos and a little about you to the blogging world!

Give a big welcome to Stephanie from My Bookish Itinerary!

Something Strange & Deadly Trilogy B&B

1

Name & Blog Name: Hi! My name is Stephanie and my blog is called My Bookish Itinerary.
Tell us a little about your blog! I started my blog on a whim back in August 2013. Back then it was Her Reviews of Books, Movies, and Everything. I was pretty overwhelmed when I started, so I didn’t blog much. Then I found the Love-a-Thon, hosted by Alexa (Alexa Loves Books) and Katelyn (Katelyn’s Twitter). It was amazing and really made me start blogging on a more regular basis.
Then in January (2015) I took the leap and re-named my blog. It was something that I had been wanting to do for a while. Her Reviews…was just too long of a name for me.
Blogging can be a little overwhelming and stressful at times, but I love it! It makes me happy and I LOVE the book blogging community and the lovely authors. I hope to be blogging for more years to come.

What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) Hmmm…well I really enjoyed putting together this post about 2015 Retellings that Have Caught My Eye. I have also enjoyed making a couple Fan Casts, though I am not sure I’m that great at it. But it is fun to do!
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Not that I can think of right now. Just more of the usual.

Book & BeverageWhatcha reading?
I am usually reading a couple different books at a time, but I am really excited that I started Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard! I am hoping to binge read the entire trilogy this month! Which is why I also included a couple pictures of my beverage with the whole trilogy.
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc): My #OTPSecret Sister (from the first round) Alexia (Adventures in Reading) bought the trilogy for me for my birthday! She is the best!
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? I chose this book to feature because I have been wanting to read them for a while now and I am finally getting the chance to do it. I have heard great things about the story and Susan Dennard’s writing. (And I follow Susan on Twitter, and she is just so sweet and awesome!)
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? I think it is pretty awesome so far. I’m really intrigued by the storyline and the characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next! Yes, I would recommend reading it. Like I said earlier, I have heard great things about the trilogy and I am really enjoying the story so far. I love Susan’s writing.

beverageWhatcha drinking? I bought some Starbucks Caffe Mocha Iced Espresso on clearance at Target, so I decided to give it a try. (It’s okay, but I’m not loving it.)
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? I mostly drink water. But I do enjoy drinking Coke too.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Hmmm…I have a few favorite drinks, and I am having a hard time deciding which one would be my all time favorite. I guess my top three favorites (that I don’t get to have that often) are Chocolate Milk (and Chocolate Milkshakes), Strawberry Daiquiris, and Cherry Coke.

bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Just three?! That is so hard. I am just listing the first book, but I would (and have) recommended these series to other people.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
I love all three of these and just can’t get enough of the characters and the world-building. SO MUCH LOVE!

What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? I think so far my proudest reading moment was reading 112 books last year. That has been the most reading in one year for me, so I was so excited to reach that milestone. My goal for this year is 125 books and I’m at 66 books so far.
Anything else you’d like to share? Thank you so much for having me on your blog today, Brittany!

Thanks, Stephanie! I love your new blog name and YES YES YES to all of those recommendations!!! They’re all some of my very favorite authors!

I like this feature a lot although I’ve never commented on one before! And I love that Stephanie has a Frozen glass 🙂

I’ve heard some good things about Something Strange and Deadly, so I’m adding it to my TBR. I’m not a zombie person but the reviews make it sound like the zombies play a smaller role than the world and characters, so I’ll give it a try 🙂
